Although Poole Court in Yate isn’t technically the official South Gloucestershire registry office, it is used for a majority of the council-based wedding ceremonies in South Glos. The actual register office for South Gloucestershire is located at Kingswood Civic Centre. But that’s just a technicality!
Please note: If your ceremony room has a limit on the number of guests allowed in the room, your professional photographer will count as one of those guests. For example, if only 10 people are permitted as a maximum, the photographer must be included in that total in order to be allowed to photograph the ceremony. As of 2025, this rule is now being strictly enforced at Bristol Registry Office in the centre of Bristol. If the guest limit is exceeded, your photographer may not be allowed into the ceremony. At Poole Court in Yate, where the ceremony room is larger, this is usually less of a concern. Please keep in mind that your photographer counts as one of the guests attending the ceremony.

Details of £249 ‘One Hour Bristol Registry Office’ Package
Our professional wedding photographer will arrive 15 minutes before your ceremony is due to start at one of the Bristol Registry Offices (Corn Street, Bristol or Poole Court, Yate). We’ll get some natural photographs of your guests before the ceremony begins and we then photograph the ceremony in full. This includes ceremony photographs of the ring exchange, vows and any readings you may have chosen. Also included is photographs during the signing of the marriage document, when permitted by your registrars. Once the ceremony is completed, we also include some group photographs outside the registry office featuring your wedding guests, if you’d like. Finally, we finish our coverage with a few photographs of just the couple by themselves in/around the registry office. All done in the space of an hour. Nice and simple.
The price also includes editing and all the final digital images (usually 100+ images) in a beautiful online gallery to download and share. You can download all the images at the click of a button and easily share the password-protected gallery with friends and family. Copyright permission is also included, so you can use your photographs for personal use however you want. What’s not to love?
