Below is an alphabetical list of wedding venues in the local area to Bristol that are licenced to conduct marriages. This list covers all approved venues in South Gloucestershire, Bath and North East Somerset and Bristol. We provide our wedding photography services for many venues in the Bristol area, including all the venues listed below. We know many of these venues well and we are proud to be a recommended supplier at some of them. An ‘approved premises’ means that you are legally allowed to have your wedding ceremony take place at the venue, so the registrars come to your licensed wedding venue to carry out the legal ceremony. This is convenient for couples who want to have everything take place in one location. If you want to have your legal ceremony conducted at your wedding venue, it will need to be an approved premises, all of which are listed below. A legal ceremony is where you make declarations before a registrar and are legally married at the end of the ceremony.

You can also get married at either Bristol, Bath or South Gloucestershire registry office and then have your reception (meal, celebrations etc) at any venue. It doesn’t have to be an approved premises if you’re only having your celebration there, and not the legal bit. You can also book a professional celebrant (or ask someone you know) to conduct a non-legal ceremony at any venue. Although a celebrant is not legally binding, it’s a popular choice as it offers more flexiability. Another popular choice is to have a legal wedding at the registry office and then a celebration / party at a venue of your choice.
