Studio Photography & Studio Based Appointments – Temporary COVID-19 Guidelines

We are really pleased that bookings for studio based appointments have resumed. Due to Covid-19 we are temporarily offering an amended service for all studio based work. Below are the temporary ongoing requirements for all studio based appointments (including photoshoots, studio hire and in-person appointments). Guidance is subject to change and will be periodically updated. These are designed to keep both you and our staff safe.

Guidelines below are for studio photoshoot appointments and in-person non-photoshoot appointments (such as meetings etc).

We have three simple key rules we will be continuing to follow in our studio:

Guidelines for Studio Photoshoot Appointments.
Updated January 2022

• As we are a small business with limited staff we are having to be cautious to avoid needing to self isolate etc, so that we can continue to work uninterrupted. This means we are keeping some safety measures in place for all studio based appointments.

• Photoshoot appointments are limited to a total of 8 people for now. This includes adults and children and is the total number of guests permitted. Larger groups (9+ people being photographed) are advised to book with us at a later date, or contact us to be added to our waiting list for larger bookings.

• Please arrive on time for your photoshoot appointment and wait either in your vehicle or outside the studio. Gathering in our waiting area of our studio is not possible at this time. We will open the door for your booking to enter at the time of your appointment. If you are late for your appointment, we may be unable to proceed with your appointment.

• Groups that exceed 8 people being photographed in total (this includes adults, children) that attempt to book/attend appointments will be cancelled. If a customer attends an appointment and the number of guests exceeds 8 people in total the appointment will be cancelled on the spot and you will be billed our standard missed appointment fee. Guests exceeding the total number allowed will be refused entry into the studio area.

• Face coverings (or face masks) must be worn when within our studio at all times, unless you have a medical exemption. This face mask rule will continue to be in place at our studio for all appointments even as restrictions lift, as we are working in a confined area and wish to keep customers and staff safe. Your face covering (which must cover your nose and mouth) should remain on until you are instructed it can be removed to be photographed. Your face covering should always be worn whenever you are not being photographed. A face covering can be provided if you do not have one. Children under 11 do not have to wear a face covering but we encourage all visitors including children to wear a covering whenever possible.

• Staff will wear a face mask for the duration of the appointment.

• We will continue to operate respectful social distancing for all appointments, even after the government restrictions lift, for everyone’s comfort and safety. We would ask that customers also keep a respectful distance apart from staff.

• On entry to the studio you will be required to use the hand sanitiser provided. This is required for every guest attending including children. Additional hand sanitiser is available within the studio space. Use of the hand sanitiser is mandatory.

• The studio will be well ventilated for your appointment. This will include doors and windows being open to allow airflow. Even in colder weather doors and windows must remain open to allow for adequate airflow.

• Only those who are being photographed should attend the appointment. Extra guests who are not being photographed are politely asked to not attend and will not be admitted entry into the studio (unless a caregiver or parent/guardian). A maximum of two (2) parents / guardians (who are not being photographed) are also permitted to supervise the appointment as a maximum and must wear a face covering for the duration of the appointment.

• Please arrive in the outfit you will be wearing for the photography session. Outfit changes will not be possible for the time being. Hair and makeup must also be completed prior to your arrival. A toilet is only available for emergency use.

• Whenever possible please leave all non-essential items such as bags, coats etc in your car/at home and only bring vital items with you into the studio.

• We are unable to currently offer any refreshments during appointments so please bring along anything you may need (such as bottled water) which can be taken with you at the end of your appointment.

• The studio will be deep cleaned and sanitised fully between each appointments. Appointments will be spread out to accommodate this extra cleaning time.

• Your cooperation in making sure all rules are adhered to by everyone in your group, including children, is appreciated.

• Your photographer will require some basic information to complete a booking form on your behalf (including name, email, address, phone number). This information is always kept confidential and is never shared. Information provided will be used in the event we need to contact you.

• We will have a QR code on display for those wishing to use the NHS Covid-19 mobile app.

• We want you to enjoy your session with us, but we understand this is an usual time. We appreciate your cooperation by following these rules which keep everyone safe. We are keeping some measures in place for everyone’s continued comfort and safety. If you feel unable to follow any of the instructions above we’d invite you to book with us at a later date when restrictions are lessened.

• If anyone in your group experiences symptoms of COVID-19 such as a cough, high temperature, loss of taste, or shortness of breath please do not enter the studio (see full list of symptoms here). Please let us know as soon as possible by e-mail so we can reschedule your appointment. You will be contacted if your appointment is impacted should we experience symptoms or test positive for COVID-19.

• An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. Older people and those with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By attending an appointment you and your guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

• All standard terms for studio appointments still apply.

• If you have any questions please contact us.
